The stamp map
Whilst I was at W+K a challenge went out to the agency to fill the empty walls.
I came up with the idea of creating a map out of postage stamps. I’d always
loved how tiny snippets of paper held such power and unpacked the history of
a country. One evening I sat with a bag of stamps and a big bottle of PVA and
I mapped out the world. I found it massively satisfying and so did other people.
Over the years visitors took photos and uploaded them to social. It went big on
reddit and for a few weeks it became the front page of Flickr.
So since having my son Woody - I decided to revisit the project and I’m currently
in the middle of making (sticking) a series of stamp based prints for charity.
